Wow, I cant believe that it has been so long since I've posted here......Well, let me catch everyone up so to speak.... We all have been sick in some form or another for the past couple of weeks....Jed is teething and very fussy so I've been dealing with that....Eric had a couple of bad migraines (due to weather changes) and was down and out for a few days.....the older kids have had stomach aches or colds going in some form for a while and are finally getting over that..... and I'm just trying to keep it all together....most days I can do it but the house has suffered.....
Eric is still without work......anyone need a good computer hardware guy????? He's out looking and seeking work but there is just not much around here......and I think he has decided that we need to get back to the farm and start preparing a place for our family there.....he is feeling the call of the land and a promise he made to his grandfather.....so we are putting our heads together to see if we can come up with ways to make the farm more productive.....we have about 40 acres to work mostly pasture and wooded.....we have between 10 and 20 head of cattle and just got rid of the old bull and getting ready for a new younger one.....(Eric's dad runs the farm right now) .....I've been thinking of going with organic meats ...beef, goat and not sure what else....also thinking of doing something for the local schools to come and visit for days like field trips....perhaps have a pumpkin patch or some such..... still looking into all sorts of things.....thing is the farm is in the middle of town....not out in the country....not right on main but only a mile from the local McDonalds.....
So for the parts of the family that are reading this....yes, it looks like we are moving back home....
