Amaris

This is our youngest daughter, Amaris. She is spunky, bright and full of love! She loves to draw and keeps the cork board and refrige covered in her artwork. She helps us to see the beauty and wonder in all of God's creations... from the smallest of flowers to the vastness of the sky.(However, she has a hard time liking the bugs.)

These past 2 years have been a hard adjustment for Amaris, she has had to learn how to be a big sister after being the baby of the family for 9 years. Even her way of thinking has had to have some drastic changes.... she still often thinks of herself as the baby and has to be reminded that she has someone looking up to her as a big sis now.

It has been such a blessing for us to see her grow in her faith... she has stepped out of her comfort zone several times this past year, going to Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes and being a part of that program at our local church has been a new (and a bit scary) experience for her .... she took on some new roles ... public speaking and reading. She did a most wonderful job and found out in the process that she has a wonderful natural speaking ability. For her to get up in front of, not only those she loves and knows so well but also a room full of strangers, and give her speech gave us an insight to just how courageous our little girl is! She also participated in web design and won first place in her age group. Here is a pic from the awards night....

She was so excited!
